Today the modern geodetic device is the product of high technologies united the last achievements of electronics, exact mechanics, optics and other sciences. And (including with a view of a geodesy) - it is possible to consider count use of satellite navigation of systems safely as new property of a civilization which advantages to the full are not appreciated yet.

It is necessary to note, that leading manufacturers of satellite systems, consider Total station as geodetic systems of secondary value, obviously preferring satellite systems of real time (RTK) as to paramount geodetic systems.
So, the first Total station, appeared in January 1999, was focused first of all on users of satellite geodetic systems and as the plan of founders was intended only for addition of opportunities of satellite systems RTK. |
